And coming to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger? So that whosoever shall eat the bread and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. Therefore let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For this cause many are sick and weak among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but powerful among you. For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God: and we also are weak with him; but we shall live with him, by the power of God in you. Examine yourselves, whether ye are in the faith: prove yourselves. Do ye not know yourselves? That Jesus Christ is in you? unless ye are reprobates.

But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
