who comforteth us in all our distress, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any distress by the comfort wherewith we are ourselves comforted by God;

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but had been made eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Jesus answered and said to him, Art thou the teacher of Israel, and understandest not these things? Truly, truly do I say to thee, We speak that which we know, and testify that which we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony.

He therefore answered, Whether he is a sinner, I know not; one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee.
