and said to the woman, No longer do we believe on account of what thou hast told us; for we have ourselves heard him, and know that this is in truth the Saviour of the world.

Jesus answered and said to them, Ye err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

but, as it is written: "The things which eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, and which have not entered into the heart of man, the great things which God hath prepared for those that love him." For God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the depths of God.

I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago,whether in the body, I know not, or whether out of the body, I know not; God knoweth,such a one caught up even to the third heaven. Mary the Magdalene cometh, bringing word to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
And when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and common men, they wondered; and they recognized them as having been with Jesus.

And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
Return to thy house, and tell what great things God hath done for thee. And he went and published through the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
The woman then left her waterpot, and went away into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man who told me all things which I have done. Is this the Christ?
Do ye not yet understand, nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
Having eyes, do ye not see? and having ears, do ye not hear? And do ye not remember, when I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, and how many baskets full of fragments ye took up? They say to him, Twelve. When also the seven among the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did ye take up? And they say, Seven.
