As I exhorted you to remain in Ephesus, I going into Macedonia, in order that you may command certain ones not to teach heterodoxy, nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which present questions, rather than the economy of God which is in faith:

This testimony is true: on account of which cause convict them sharply, in order that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men turning away from the truth.
