14 Bible Verses about Deafness

And behold thou shalt be dumb and unable to speak, unto the day upon which these things may take place; because thou didst not believe my words, which shall be fulfilled in their time.

And Jesus seeing that the multitude are running together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, Dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out from him, and enter no more into him.

The blind are looking up, and the lame are walking about, the lepers are being cleansed, and the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised, and the poor are having the gospel preached unto them:

And Jesus responding said to them, Having gone, proclaim to John those things which you saw and heard; that the blind are seeing, the lame are walking about, the lepers are being cleansed, the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised up, the poor are having the gospel preached unto them;

And they bring Him a deaf man, speaking with difficulty; and intreat Him that He may lay His hand on him. And taking him from the crowd privately, He put His fingers in his ears, and having spat, He touched his tongue; and looking up to heaven, he groaned, and says to him, Ephphatha, which is, Be thou opened.read more.
And immediately his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue loosed, and he continued to speak distinctly. And He charged them that they should tell no one: and the more He charged them, the more abundantly they proclaimed it. And were astonished exceedingly, saying, He has done all things well: He makes the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

And those around Him seeing what was coming on Him, said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus responding said, Hold on until this: and touching his ear, healed him.

Because the heart of this people is waxed gross, and they heard heavily with their ears, and closed their eyes; lest they may see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I shall heal them.

And He said, Let the one having ears to hear, hear. And when they were alone, and those around Him along with the twelve asked Him the parable. And He said to them, To you it has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but to them who are without, all things are in parables:read more.
in order that seeing they may see, and not know; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest they may turn, and their sins may he forgiven unto them.

And He said; To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; in order that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

Go to this people, and say, By hearing ye shall hear, and may not understand; and seeing you shall see, and may not perceive: for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and they heard with their ears heavily, and closed their eyes; lest they may see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I shall heal them.

and they will indeed turn their hearing from the truth, and be turned unto fables.

And the rest of the men who were not slain by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood; which are neither able to see, nor to hear, nor to walk:
