But remember this, that he who sows sparingly, shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully, shall also reap bountifully. Let each one give, as he purposes in his heart; not with grief, nor from necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to confer every gift upon you abundantly, that you, always having all sufficiency in every thing, may have enough for every good work;read more.
as it is written: He has scattered abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever. Now, he that furnishes seed to the sower will both furnish bread for food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; that you may be enriched in every thing, for all liberality which produces through us thanksgiving to God;
And he spoke a parable to them, saying: The farm of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully. And he reasoned within himself, saying: What shall I do? for I have no place in which I can store my fruits. And he said: This will I do: I will pull down my barns and I will build larger ones; and there I will store ail my produce, and my good things;read more.
and I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said to him: Senseless man, this night shall your soul be required of you; and who shall have the things which you have provided? So is he that lays up treasure for him self, and is not rich toward God.
It is necessary that, the farmer should labor, before he partakes of the fruits.
But they were careless, and went away, one to his farm, another to his merchandise.
Be patient, therefore, brethren, till the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer looks for the precious fruit of the earth, and waits patiently for it, till he receives the early and the latter rain.
