Then Peter arose, and went with them: and when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber. And all the widows stood round him weeping, and shewing him the coats and garments which Dorcas made when she was with them.
And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the musicians, and the people in confusion;
And He came up and touched the bier, (and the bearers stopped,) and He said, Young man, I say unto thee, arise.
and he took it down and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre hewn in stone, where no one had ever yet been laid.
And he bought fine linen, and took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen, and laid Him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock; and rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.
So they took the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. Now there was a garden in the place where He was crucified; and in the garden a new sepulchre, in which none had ever yet been laid. There therefore they laid Jesus, because of the Jews preparation-day; for the sepulchre was near.
