I therefore so run, not as uncertainly, and so strike, not as one who beats the air;

holding fast the word of life, for my glorying in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain, nor labor in vain.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith;

Know you not that those who run in the race all indeed run, but one takes the prize. So run that you may obtain.
