So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.

If thy brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, have been sold unto thee, he shall serve thee six years, and in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee. And if thy brother grow poor, and he be fallen into decay beside thee, then thou shalt relieve him, be he stranger or sojourner, that he may live beside thee.

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:

To him that asks of thee give, and from him that desires to borrow of thee turn not away.

Sell what ye possess and give alms; make to yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure which does not fail in the heavens, where thief does not draw near nor moth destroy.
