And they were astonished with a great astonishment. And he charged them straitly, that no man should know it, and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

And Jesus coming into the ruler's house, and seeing the minstrels and the croud who cried out aloud, Saith to them, Withdraw; for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth: and they derided him. But when the people were put forth, he went in and took her by the hand; and the maid arose.

And her parents were astonished: but he charged them, to tell no man that which had been done.

And he arose and went thence into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And entring into an house, he would have had no man know it; but he could not be hid. For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell at his feet, (The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation) and besought him to cast the devil out of her daughter.read more.
But Jesus said to her, Let the children first be satisfied; for it is not right to take the childrens bread and cast it to the dogs. She answered and said to him, True, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said to her, For this saying, go: the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
