Then the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire within a bush. As Moses looked, he saw that the bush was on fire but was not consumed. So Moses thought: I must go over and look at this remarkable sight. Why isn't the bush burning up?
I also saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had won the victory from the beast, his image, and the number of his name, were standing on the sea of glass with harps from God.
The Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to lead them on their way during the day and in a pillar of fire to give them light at night, so that they could travel day or night.

who went before you on the journey to seek out a place for you to camp. He went in the fire by night and in the cloud by day to guide you on the road you were to travel.
He led them with a cloud by day and with a fiery light throughout the night.

Then the Lord will create a cloud of smoke by day and a glowing flame of fire by night over the entire site of Mount Zion and over its assemblies. For there will be a canopy over all the glory,
For the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and there was a fire inside the cloud by night, visible to the entire house of Israel throughout all the stages of their journey.

Has a people ever heard God's voice speaking from the fire as you have, and lived?
The Lord spoke to you face to face from the fire on the mountain.
"The Lord spoke these commands in a loud voice to your entire assembly from the fire, cloud, and thick darkness on the mountain; He added nothing more. He wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me.
You said, 'Look, the Lord our God has shown us His glory and greatness, and we have heard His voice from the fire. Today we have seen that God speaks with a person, yet he still lives.
On the day of the assembly the Lord gave me the two stone tablets, inscribed by God's finger. The exact words were on them, which the Lord spoke to you from the fire on the mountain.
Then, on the day of the assembly, the Lord wrote on the tablets what had been written previously, the Ten Commandments that He had spoken to you on the mountain from the fire. The Lord gave them to me,
He let you hear His voice from heaven to instruct you. He showed you His great fire on earth, and you heard His words from the fire.
For who out of all mankind has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the fire, as we have, and lived?
Mount Sinai was completely enveloped in smoke because the Lord came down on it in fire. Its smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain shook violently.
For you have not come to what could be touched, to a blazing fire, to darkness, gloom, and storm,
The appearance of the Lord's glory to the Israelites was like a consuming fire on the mountaintop.
Look, the Lord will come with fire- His chariots are like the whirlwind- to execute His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire.
Our God is coming; He will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes Him, and a storm rages around Him.

After the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was a voice, a soft whisper.
