O my God, incline thine ear, and hearken; at the least for thine own sake, open thine eyes. Behold how we be desolated: yea, and the city also, which is called after thy name. For we do not cast our prayers before thee in our own righteousnesses, no, but only in thy great mercies.

And moreover spake Moses, "At evening the LORD will give you flesh to eat, and in the morning bread enough, because the LORD hath heard your murmur which ye murmur against him: for what are we? Your murmuring is not against us, but against the LORD."
And Moses spake unto Aaron, "Say unto all the company of the children of Israel, 'Come forth before the LORD, for he hath heard your grudgings.'"
Yea, and that thou also mayest be sure, that I the LORD have heard all thy despiteful words, which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, 'Lo, they are made waste, and given us to devour.'
I have heard well enough what the prophets say, that preach lies in my name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed.'
Howbeit, when he is once come - I mean the spirit of truth - he will lead you into all truth. He shall not speak of himself: but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come.
