But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

for even if I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the Spirit, rejoicing, and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

when, therefore, the multitude saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves entered into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.

And I am glad, for your sakes, (in order that ye may believe), that I was not there. But let us go to him."

For I, verily, being absent in the body, but present in the Spirit, have already, as if present, judged him who so wrought this;

we are of good courage, I say, and are well pleased to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

Wherefore, we also make it our aim??hether being at home or being from home??o be well-pleasing to Him.
