For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples: Make them recline in companies of fifty.

And he commanded them to make all recline in table parties upon the green grass.

praising God, and being in favor with all the people. And the Lord added the saved daily to the Church.

And they reclined in oblong squares, by hundreds, and by fifties.

Is the Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? or were you immersed into the name of Paul?

These were of a better disposition than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.

and men will arise from among yourselves, speaking perverse things, that they may draw off disciples after them.

Then they that gladly received his word were immersed, and on that day there were added to them about three thou sand souls.

And a certain man said to him: Lord, are there few that are saved? And he said to them:

I mean this: that each one of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

And believers in the Lord were more and more added to them, multitudes both of men and women;)

But when Paul perceived that one part belonged to the Sadducees, and the other to the Pharisees, he cried out, in the Sanhedrin: Brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; for the hope of the resurrection of the dead am I judged.
