But if any man of you be deficient in wisdom, let him ask it of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him.
To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own peculiar sheep by name, and leadeth them forth. And when he bringeth out his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: because they know his voice.
And going a little farther, he fell on his face, praying, and saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
And he went a little farther forward, and fell on the earth, and prayed, that if it were possible the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee; remove this cup from me, nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
saying, Father, if thou wilt, remove this cup from me! nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done.
I BESEECH you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renovation of your mind, that you may prove by experience what is the will of God, that is good, acceptable, and perfect.
And when they shall bring you before the synagogues, and magistrates, and the ruling powers, be under no anxiety how or what defence ye shall make, or what ye shall say: for the Holy Ghost will teach you at that very hour what ye ought to say.
But when he is come, the Spirit of truth, he will conduct you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever things he shall hear, he shall speak: and he will declare to you the things that shall come hereafter.
But while Peter was musing upon the vision, the Spirit said to him, Lo! three men are inquiring after thee. Arise then, and go down, and go with them, entertaining no doubt, for I have sent them.
