"As a result of this, O King, I did not disobey [the mandate of] this vision from heaven

I know a man in [fellowship with] Christ who, fourteen years ago, was taken [literally, "snatched"] up to the third heaven. [Note: The first heaven would be where birds fly; the second where the stars are; and the third where God is]. (I do not know whether he was in his physical body or whether it was an "out-of-the-body" experience, but God knows). [Note: Paul is obviously telling about a personal experience. See verse 7].

and could see the sky open up and a huge sheet-like container being lowered to the ground by its four corners.

These priests serve [in a sanctuary] that is [only] a copy and a foreshadow of the heavenly one. Then I saw heaven open, and there before me was a white horse whose rider was called "Faithful and True." And He [i.e., Christ] judges and wages war in a just way.
