15 Bible Verses about Imagination, Evil Scheming

For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.

The wicked arrogantly chase the oppressed; the oppressed are trapped by the schemes the wicked have dreamed up. Yes, the wicked man boasts because he gets what he wants; the one who robs others curses and rejects the Lord. The wicked man is so arrogant he always thinks, "God won't hold me accountable; he doesn't care."

But their minds were closed. For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away.

So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.

All is pure to those who are pure. But to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Your eyes will see strange things, and your mind will speak perverse things.

And the Lord said, "If as one people all sharing a common language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be beyond them.

He plans ways to sin while he lies in bed; he is committed to a sinful lifestyle; he does not reject what is evil.

They encourage one another to carry out their evil deed. They plan how to hide snares, and boast, "Who will see them?" They devise unjust schemes; they disguise a well-conceived plot. Man's inner thoughts cannot be discovered.

he plots evil with perverse thoughts in his heart, he spreads contention at all times.

Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.

Do not those who devise evil go astray? But those who plan good exhibit faithful covenant love.
