And I, brethren, could not speak to you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ. I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nor are ye now able. For ye are still carnal: for while there is among you emulation, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?

Concerning whom we have many things to say, and hard to be explained, seeing ye are become dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again, which are the first principles of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unexperienced in the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.

When I was a child, I talked as a child, I understood as a child, I reasoned as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. And now we see by means of a glass obscurely; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know even as also I am known.

Brethren, be not children in understanding: in wickedness be ye as infants, but in understanding be ye grown men.
