At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to babes.
At that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it was your good pleasure.
For consider your call, brethren; not many of you were wise according to fleshly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong, God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are,read more.

He called to him a little child, and put him in the midst of them, and he said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.read more.
Whoever receives one little child like this in my name receives me.
And he took a little child, and put him in the midst of them. And taking him in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever receives one of these little children in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me."
Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by him, and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great."

For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you belong to Christ, will by no means lose his reward.

Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; be infants in evil, but in thinking be mature.

Likewise you that are younger men be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
