Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise a disaster, from which you shall not remove your necks; neither shall you walk haughtily: for this time is evil.

Cursed be he that removes his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

And you shall speak unto him, saying, Thus says the LORD, Have you killed, and also taken possession? And you shall speak unto him, saying, Thus says the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your blood, even yours.

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall not escape.

A false witness shall perish: but the man that hears speaks constantly.

Since therefore you tread upon the poor, and you take from him burdens of wheat: you have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine of them. For I know your manifold transgressions, and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.

Hear this, O you that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?read more.
The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the victim departs not;

And I will come near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner from his right, and fear not me, says the LORD of hosts.

But if that servant says in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunk; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in pieces, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

But brother goes to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? why do you not rather allow yourselves to be defrauded? Nay, you do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

That no man transgress and wrong his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

Come now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is rusted; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as if it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.read more.
Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them who have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of hosts. You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.

Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also who pierced him: and all tribes of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

[A Psalm of David.] Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be you envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no pains in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.read more.
Therefore pride surrounds them as a chain; violence covers them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with abundance: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth. Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. LORD, when your hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy of the people; yea, the fire of your enemies shall devour them.

Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, you have established them for correction. You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: why do you look upon them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he?

Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall neither wrong a stranger, nor oppress him: for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. You shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.

You shall not pervert the justice of your poor in his dispute. Keep far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay you not: for I will not justify the wicked. And you shall take no bribe: for the bribe blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.
