And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying; Behold, a sower went out to sow;

And he taught them many things in parables, and said to them, in his teaching,

And he said to them, in parables, A man planted a vineyard and made a hedge about it, and dug a wine-vat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went abroad.

AND Jesus answered and spoke to them again in parables saying,

And calling them, he said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

And with many such parables spoke he the word to them as they could hear;

All these things spoke Jesus to the multitudes in parables; and without a parable spoke he not to them;

For this reason I speak to them in parables; because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor understand.

but without a parable spoke he not to them; and, privately, he explained all things to his disciples.

And his disciples came and said to him, Why do you speak to them in parables? And he answered and said to them, Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given; for whoever has, to him shall be also given, and he shall abound; but whoever has not, from him shall be taken away even what he has.read more.
For this reason I speak to them in parables; because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor understand.

And he said to them, To you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those without all things are in parables;

These things have I spoken to you in parables. The time is coming when I will no more speak to you in parables, but I will tell you plainly of the Father.

This parable spoke Jesus to them, but they knew not what the words which he spoke to them meant.

And when Jesus had finished these parables he departed thence,

And he said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? or with what parable shall I present it?

And Peter answered and said to him, Explain the parable to us.

And when he was alone, those about him, with the twelve, asked him the parable.

And he said to them, Do you not know this parable? How then will you know all parables?

And Peter said to him, Lord, do you speak this parable to us, or also to all?

And the chief priests and Pharisees hearing his parables, knew that he spoke of them;

And they sought to take him, and feared the multitude, for they knew that he spoke this parable against them. And they left him, and went away.
