A king who sits on [the] throne of judgment winnows all evil with his eyes.
So Pilate, [when he] heard these words, brought Jesus outside and sat down on the judgment seat, in the place called The Stone Pavement (but Gabbatha in Aramaic).
And [while] he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent [a message] to him, saying, "{Have nothing to do with that righteous man}, for I have suffered much as a result of a dream today because of him.")
{And} the next day, Moses sat to judge the people, and the people stood before Moses from the morning until the evening. And the father-in-law of Moses saw all that he was doing for the people, and he said, "What [is] this thing that you [are] doing for the people? Why [are] you sitting alone and all the people [are] standing by you from morning until evening?"
He made the hall of the throne where he [would] pronounce judgment, the hall of justice, and [it was] covered with cedar from the floor to the rafters.
So on an appointed day Herod, [after] putting on royal clothing and sitting down on the judgment seat, began to deliver a public address to them.
Then Paul said to him, "God is going to strike you, [you] whitewashed wall! And are you sitting [there] judging me according to the law, and acting contrary to the law do you order me to be struck?"
So on the next day, Agrippa and Bernice came with great pageantry and entered into the audience hall, along with military tribunes and the most prominent men of the city. And [when] Festus gave the order, Paul was brought in.
But you have dishonored the poor! Are not the rich exploiting you and they themselves dragging you into the courts?
For you have maintained my just cause; you have sat on [the] throne judging correctly. You have rebuked [the] nations; you have destroyed [the] wicked. Their name you have blotted out forever and ever.
But Yahweh sits [enthroned] forever. He has established his throne for judgment. And he will judge [the] world with righteousness. He will judge [the] peoples with equity.
Yahweh [is] in his holy temple; Yahweh [is] in the heavens [on] his throne. His eyelids see; they test [the] children of humankind. Your throne, O God, [is] forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness [is] the scepter of your kingdom.
Cloud and thick darkness [are] surrounding him; righteousness and justice [are] the foundation of his throne.
David got up and went and all the people who [were] with him, from Baale-judah to bring up from there the ark of God which [is] called the name, the name of Yahweh of hosts, {upon which the cherubim sit}.

Give ear, O shepherd of Israel, [who] leads Joseph like a flock. Shine forth, [you who] sits [enthroned above] the cherubim.
Yahweh is king; let [the] peoples tremble. [He] sits enthroned [between the] cherubim. Let the earth shake.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, in order that each one may receive back the [things] through the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
And I saw a great white throne and the one who was seated on it, {from whose presence} earth and heaven fled, and a place was not found for them. And I saw the dead--the great and the small--standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the [book] of life, and the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds. "{I continued watching} until thrones were placed and an Ancient of Days sat; his clothing [was] like white snow and the hair of his head [was] like pure wool and his throne [was] a flame of fire and its wheels [were] burning fire. A stream of fire issued forth and flowed {from his presence}; thousands [upon] thousands served him and ten thousand [upon] ten thousand stood before him. The judge sat, and [the] books were opened.
Let the nations be roused and let them come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations from all around.
Now when the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them from one another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
But why do you judge your brother? Or also, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you that in the renewal [of the world], when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me--you also will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And I saw thrones, and they sat down on them, and authority to judge was granted to them. And [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and did not receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand, and they came to life and reigned with Christ [for] a thousand years.
