They did not understand that he spoke to them of the Father. So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority but speak just what the Father taught me. They all said, "Are you the Son of God, then?" He said to them, "You said what I am."

He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him; for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"

"Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
