12 Bible Verses about Knowing God's Character

and understand His will, and by being instructed in the law can know the things that excel,

Then the man who had received the one thousand came up and said, 'Master, I knew you were a hard man, who reaped where you had not sown, who gathered where you had not threshed.

He said to him, 'On the ground of what you say I will sentence you, you wicked slave! You knew that I was a stern man, that I picked up what I did not put down, and reaped what I did not sow.

His master answered him, 'You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reaped where I had not sown and gathered where I had not threshed.

We know that God does not listen to sinful men, but He does listen to anyone who worships God and lives to do His will.

because what can be known of God is clear to their inner moral sense; for in this way God Himself has shown it to them.

For who has ever understood the thoughts of the Lord, or has ever been His adviser?

For who has ever known the Lord's thoughts, so that he can instruct Him? But we now possess Christ's thoughts.

This is why, ever since I heard of it, I have never ceased praying for you and asking God to fill you, through full wisdom and spiritual insight, with a clear knowledge of His will,

We know what love is from the fact that He laid down His life for us; and so we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

So we know by experience and trust the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever continues to love continues in union with God and God in union with him.
