And God said, "Let us make man in our similitude and after our likeness: that he may have rule over the fish of the sea, and over the fowls of the air, and over cattle, and over all the earth, and over all worms that creep on the earth." And God created man after his likeness, after the likeness of God created he him; male and female created he them.
This is the book of the generation of man, in the day when God created man and made him after the similitude of God.
so that he which sheddeth man's blood, shall have his blood shed by man again: for God made man after his own likeness.
Lie not one to another, that the old man with his works be put off, and the new put on; which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that made him:
Therewith bless we God the father, and therewith curse we men which are made after the similitude of God.
Ye shall therefore be perfect even as your father which is in heaven is perfect.
But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be ye have heard of him, and are taught in him, even as the truth is in Jesus: so then, as concerning the conversation in time past, lay from you that old man, which is corrupt through the deceivable lusts,read more.
and be ye renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on that new man, which after the image of God is shapen in righteousness, and true holiness.
For those which he knew before, he also ordained before, that they should be like fashioned unto the shape of his son, that he might be the first begotten son among many brethren.
"For who knoweth the mind of the Lord, other who shall inform him?" But we understand the mind of Christ.
But we all behold the glory of the Lord with his face open, and we are changed unto the same similitude, from glory to glory, even of the spirit of the Lord.
And the very same, made some Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Shepherds, some Teachers: that the saints might have all things necessary to work and minister withal, to the edifying of the body of Christ, till we, everyone - in the unity of faith, and knowledge of the son of God - grow up unto a perfect man, after the measure of age which is of the fullness of Christ:
which is the image of the invisible God, first begotten of all creatures:
in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest should shine unto them the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, which is the image of God.
Which, being in the shape of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
Which son, being the brightness of his glory, and very image of his substance, bearing up all things with the word of his power, hath in his own person purged our sins, and is sitten on the righthand of the majesty on high,
For what the law could not do, inasmuch as it was weak because of the flesh - that performed God, and sent his son in the similitude of sinful flesh, and by sin damned sin in the flesh;

For we have not a high priest, which cannot have compassion on our infirmities: but was in all points tempted, as we are: but yet without sin.
Which, being in the shape of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Nevertheless, he made himself of no reputation, and took on him the shape of a servant, and became like unto men, and was found in his apparel as a man.
