What therefore shall we say? Shall we continue in sin, in order that grace may increase? May it never be! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? God, who inflicts wrath, [is] not unjust, [is he]? (I am speaking according to a human perspective.) May it never be! For otherwise, how will God judge the world? But if by my lying, the truth of God abounded to his glory, why am I also still condemned as a sinner?read more.
And [why] not (as we are slandered, and as some affirm that we say), "Let us do evil, in order that good may come [of it]? Their condemnation is just!

But if [while] seeking to be justified by Christ, [we] ourselves also have been found [to be] sinners, then [is] Christ an agent of sin? May it never be! For if I build up again these [things] which I destroyed, I show myself [to be] a transgressor. For through the law I died to the law, in order that I might live to God. and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and that [life] I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not declare invalid the grace of God, for if righteousness [is] through the law, then Christ died to no purpose.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that [you] obey its desires,

Therefore, [since] we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, putting aside every weight and {the sin that so easily ensnares us}, let us run with patient endurance the race that has been set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

If anyone should see his brother sinning a sin not [leading] to death, he should ask, and he will grant life to him, to those who sin not [leading] to death. ([There] is a sin [leading] to death; I do not say that he should ask about that. All unrighteousness is sin, and [there] is a sin not [leading] to death.) We know that everyone who is fathered by God does not sin, but the one fathered by God, he protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

"Do not think that I have come to destroy the law or the prophets. I have not come to destroy [them] but to fulfill [them]. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one tiny letter or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all takes place.

Be very strong to observe carefully all that is written in the scroll of the law of Moses so as not to turn aside from it, [to] the right or left,

Only may Yahweh give to you understanding and insight that he might give you charge over Israel and the keeping of the law of Yahweh your God.

He who keeps instruction [is] a child of understanding, but the companion of gluttons will shame his father.

So then, the law [is] holy, and the commandment [is] holy and righteous and good.

But we know that the law [is] good, if anyone makes use of it lawfully,

If we say that we do not have sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us [our] sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. The one who says "I have come to know him," and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person.

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

And {we are ready} to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is completed.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these [things] the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.

and "A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense," who stumble [because they] disobey the word to which also they were consigned.

But whoever has the world's material possessions and observes his brother {in need} and shuts his heart against him, how does the love of God reside in him?

"And if you love those who love you, what kind of credit is [that] to you? For even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good to those who do good to you, what kind of credit is [that] to you? Even the sinners do the same! And if you lend [to those] from whom you expect to receive [back], what kind of credit is [that] to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, so that they may get back an equal [amount]!

You, therefore, my child, be strong in the grace [that is] in Christ Jesus, and [the things] which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these [things] to faithful people who will be competent to teach others also. Suffer together with [me] as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.read more.
No one who serves as a soldier is entangled in the activities of [everyday] life, so that he may please the one who enlisted [him].

The one who says [he] is in the light and hates his brother is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother resides in the light, and [there] is no cause for stumbling in him. But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
