2 Timothy 4:3-4

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires, and will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

1 Timothy 1:3-4

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than the divine trainingwhich is by faith.
