Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O you of little faith, why reason you among yourselves, because you have brought no bread? How is it that you do not understand that I spoke not to you concerning bread, that you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him about that saying.

And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

These things understood not his disciples at first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way side.

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable twist, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Why do you not understand my speech? even because you cannot hear my word.
