But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people, that you should show forth the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his wonderful light:

It is not possible that the word of God has failed; for they are not all Israel who are of Israel. Nor, because they are the posterity of Abraham, are they all children: but in Isaac shall your posterity be called. That is, the children of the flesh are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted for the posterity.

And as many as walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

And the gift is not like the sentence that came through one who sinned: for the sentence to condemnation was because of one offense; but the favor bestowed in order to justification, is because of many offenses. even as Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness. Know, therefore, that those who are of faith are the sons of Abraham.
