and being fully assured, that whatsoever he has promised, he is able also to perform. Therefore it was indeed imputed unto him for righteousness. As Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Then know that those who are of faith, the same are the sons of Abraham. For this Melchizedek, the king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, the one having met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him, to whom Abraham divided the tenth from all first, being interpreted, King of righteousness, and then King of Salem, which is, King of peace; without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but being made like unto the Son of God, he abides a priest continually.
