And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose its seals."
But one of the Elders said to me. "Do not weep! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, and so can open the book with its seven seals."
And there was handed him the roll of the prophet Isaiah; and unrolling it he found the place where it was written,
And no one in the heavens or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look into it. so I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it.
And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy art thou to take the book And to open its seals; For thou wast slain and didst ransom for God Men out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation;
In his hand he had a little book, open; and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left upon the land.
