Have you found honey? eat only as much as is sufficient for you, lest you be filled with it, and vomit it.
When you sit to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before you:
For in eating every one takes first his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
And put a knife to your throat, if you are a man given to appetite.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with carousing, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
But when you are bidden, go and sit down in the lowest place; that when he that bade you come, he may say unto you, Friend, go up higher: then shall you have honor in the presence of them that sit at table with you.
For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
