Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.

And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice to the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God as he shall command us.

And Aaron the priest ascended mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel departed from the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month. And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor. And king Arad the Canaanite who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel. And they departed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah. And when he had gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
