Then Pilate said to him: Do you not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to crucify you, and authority to release you?

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four tetrads of soldiers to guard him, intending to bring him out to the people after the passover.
And Agrippa said to Festus: This man could have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed to Caesar
They, after examination, would have released me, for they found no cause of death in me.
