Then said Jesus, "Let her alone, against the day of my burying she kept it.

And in that she casted this ointment on my body, she did it to bury me, withal.

for so long doth the embalming last, and the Egyptians bewept him seventy days.

And Joseph commanded his servants that were physicians, to embalm his father, and the physicians embalmed Israel forty days long,

And so Joseph died, when he was a hundred and ten years old. And they embalmed him and put him in a chest in Egypt.

Then took they the body of Jesus and wound it in linen clothes with the odors as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

And he stooped down and saw the linen clothes lying, yet went he not in. Then came Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and saw the linen clothes lie, and the napkin that was about his head not lying with the linen cloth, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

She hath done that she could: she came aforehand to anoint my body to his buryingward.

I will go down with thee into Egypt, and I will also bring thee up again, and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes."

My breath faileth, my days are shortened. I am hard at death's door.

And David said to Joab and to all the people that were with him, "Rent your clothes and put on sackcloth and mourn before Abner." And king David himself followed the bier.

And he went and touched the coffin, and they that bare him stood still. And he said, "Young man, I say unto thee, arise."

So their next kinfolks and the dead buriers shall take them, and carry away their bones, and say unto him that is in the innermore house, 'Is there yet any more by thee?' And he shall answer, 'They are all gone. Hold thy tongue,' shall he say. For they would not remember the name of the LORD.

For the fire of pain is ordained from the beginning: yea, even for kings it is prepared. This hath the LORD set in the deep, and made it wide: the burning whereof is fire and much wood. The breath of the LORD, which is a river of brimstone, doth kindle it.
