He maketh the deep to seethe and boil like a pot, and stirreth the sea together like an ointment.

and spice and oil: both for the lights and for the anointing oil and for the sweet cense.

"Take principal spices: of pure myrrh five hundred sicles, of sweet cinnamon half so much, two hundred and fifty sicles: of sweet calamite, two hundred and fifty. And they buried him in his own sepulchre which he had made in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which he had filled with sweet odours of divers kinds, made by the craft of the apothecaries. And they did exceeding great cost about burying of him.

And they returned, and prepared odours, and ointments; but rested the Sabbath day, according to the commandment.

the goodly flowered wide and broidered raiment, brushes and headbands,

there came unto him a woman, which had an alabaster box of precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at the board.

When he was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, even as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment, called nard, that was pure and costly, and she brake the box and poured it on his head.

He that hath pleasure in banquets, shall be a poor man; Whoso delighteth in wine and delicates, shall not be rich.

ye that drink wine out of goblets, and anoint yourselves with the best oil: but no man is sorry for Joseph's hurt.

"Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?"
