Now on the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city unto such a one, and say to him, The Teacher says, My time is near, I will keep the passover in thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the passover.
And the first day of unleavened bread, when they slew the passover, his disciples say to him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare, that thou mayest eat the passover? And he sends two of his disciples, and says to them, Go into the city, and a man shall meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. And wheresoever he enters, say to the master of the house, The Teacher says, Where is my guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples?read more.
and he will shew you a large upper room furnished ready. There make ready for us. And his disciples went away and came into the city, and found as he had said to them; and they made ready the passover.
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat it. But they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare it? And he said to them, Behold, as ye enter into the city a man will meet you, carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in;read more.

The Jews therefore, that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for it was the preparation, (for the day of that sabbath was a great day,) demanded of Pilate that their legs might be broken and they taken away.
There therefore, on account of the preparation of the Jews, because the tomb was near, they laid Jesus.
(now it was the preparation of the passover; it was about the sixth hour;) and he says to the Jews, Behold your king!
But God said to him, Fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; and whose shall be what thou hast prepared?
