Afterwards, when he was alone, his followers and the Twelve asked him about his parables;
When Jesus went indoors, away from the crowd, his disciples began questioning him about this saying.

"Teacher, Moses laid down for us in his writings that-- 'Should a man's married brother die, and should he be childless, the man should take the widow as his wife, and raise up a family for his brother.'
Presently some Pharisees came up and, to test him, asked: "Has a husband the right to divorce his wife?"
Being once asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God was to come, Jesus answered: "The Kingdom of God does not come in a way that admits of observation,
Then one of them, a Student of the Law, to test him, asked this question--
When Jesus left the house, the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees began to press him hard and question him closely upon many subjects,
Then came up one of the Teachers of the Law who had heard their discussions. Knowing that Jesus had answered them wisely, he asked him this question: "What is the first of all the commandments?"
"Are you the King of the Jews?" Pilate asked him. "It is true," replied Jesus.
Jesus saw that they were wanting to ask him a question, and said: "Are you trying to find out from one another what I meant by saying 'In a little while you will not see me; and then in a little while you will see me indeed'?
So, when the Apostles had met together, they asked Jesus this question--"Master, is this the time when you intend to re-establish the Kingdom for Israel?"
