Afterwards his disciples came to him, and said: "Why do you speak to them in parables?"

On hearing it, many of his disciples said: "This is harsh doctrine! Who can bear to listen to it?"
"At last," exclaimed the disciples, "you are using plain words and not speaking in figures at all.
"Even if I must die with you," Peter exclaimed, "I shall never disown you!" All the disciples spoke in the same way.
