Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached to you at first, which ye received, and wherein ye stand.

Wherefore I will not neglect to put you always in mind of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth.

This second epistle, my beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your sincere mind in remembrance,

For I received from the Lord, that which I also delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: and gave thanks, and brake it, and said, "Take and eat; this is my body, which is going to be broken for you: this do in remembrance of me." And in the same manner He took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant ratified in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink of it, in remembrance of me."read more.
As often then as ye eat of this bread, and drink of this cup, ye commemorate the Lord's death till he come.

Wherefore I will not neglect to put you always in mind of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth. And I think it my duty, while I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by way of remembrance: knowing that I must soon lay down this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.read more.
And I will endeavour that after my departure also ye may always be able to call these things to remembrance. For we did not follow artfully devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; but were eye-witnesses of his majesty.

Whereas in these very sacrifices there is a recalling of sins to mind every year. For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

However, I have written to you, brethren, somewhat the more freely, in reminding you of your duty; because of the favor bestowed upon me by God,

For this end have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son and faithful in the Lord, who will bring to your remembrance my ways in Christ, how I teach every where in every church.

Admonish them to be submissive to governors and magistrates, to obey their orders, and to be ready to every good work; to slander no man, to avoid contention, to be gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
