And it came to pass, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper districts, came to Ephesus. And finding certain disciples,

And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus; for lo! he prayeth,

And as they were traveling on the way, one said to him, I will follow thee wherever thou goest.

Jesus answering said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers; who after stripping him of his raiment, and wounding him, departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And in like manner also a Levite, having arrived at the place, came and saw, and passed by on the other side.read more.
But a certain Samaritan, as he was journeying, came where he was, and when he saw him, had compassion,

And as they went along the road, they came to a certain water; and the eunuch saith, See, here is water; what is there to hinder my being baptized?

And they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked with us on the way, while he opened to us the Scriptures?

And they came to Capernaum; and having come into the house, he asked them, About what were ye disputing on the road?

Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; salute no one by the way.

then will ye begin to say, We ate and drank in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets.

And it came to pass, as he drew near to Jericho, that a certain blind man was sitting by the wayside begging.

Go therefore into the thoroughfares, and as many as ye find, invite to the feast. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all, as many as they found, both bad and good; and the bridechamber was fully furnished with guests.

And the servant came, and reported these things to his lord. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, the blind, and the lame. And the servant said, Lord, what thou didst command hath been done, and yet there is room. And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and constrain them to come in, that my house may be filled.

And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Truly do I say to you, They have received their reward.
