What I say to you in the dark, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim upon the housetops.
Whatever you have spoken in the darkness shall be heard and listened to in the light, and what you have whispered in [people's] ears and behind closed doors will be proclaimed upon the housetops.
You shall make a roof or window [a place for light] for the ark and finish it to a cubit [at least 18 inches] above -- "and the door of the ark you shall put in the side of it; and you shall make it with lower, second, and third stories.
Look now, I have two daughters who are virgins; let me, I beg of you, bring them out to you, and you can do as you please with them. But only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.
