He is not a God of the dead, but of the living. And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

Matthew 5:17-18

Think not that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. For truly do I say to you, Not till heaven and earth pass away, shall one jot or one tittle pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled.
