Whoever serves Christ in that way pleases God and gains the approval of men.
Do your duties heartily and willingly, as though it were for the Lord, not for men,
and how I served the Lord most humbly and with tears, through all the trials that I encountered because of the plots of the Jews.
Such men are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own base passions, and with their plausible and flattering talk they deceive simple-minded people.
Is that appealing to men's weaknesses, or to God? Is that trying to suit men? If I were still doing that, I would be no slave of Christ.
