Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, in all purity.

Now as they went on their way, he entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his word. But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me."read more.
But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things; but only one thing is needed. And Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. It was this Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. So the sisters sent to him, saying, "Lord, he whom you love is sick."

If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

While he was still talking to the people, behold, his mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to him. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." But he replied to the man who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"read more.
And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

Then his brothers and his mother came. And standing outside they sent to him, and called him. And a crowd was sitting around him; and they said to him, "Your mother and your brothers are outside, asking for you." And he replied, "Who are my mother and my brothers?"read more.
And he looked at those who sat in a circle around him, and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother."

"If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

And every one who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this timehouse and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come, eternal life.
