Then it says 'I will go back to the home which I left'; but, on coming there, it finds it unoccupied, and swept, and put in order.
But, should he be a bad servant, and say to himself 'My master is a long time in coming,'
When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he said to himself: "Had this man been 'The Prophet,' he would have known who, and what sort of woman, this is who is touching him, and that she is an outcast."
And I will say to myself, Now you have plenty of good things put by for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.'
But should that servant say to himself 'My master is a long time coming,' and begin to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
But, when he came to himself, he said 'How many of my father's hired servants have more bread than they can eat, while here am I starving to death!
'What am I to do,' the steward asked himself, 'now that my master is taking the steward's place away from me? I have not strength to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.
If there is no one able to interpret what is said, they should remain silent at the meeting of the Church, and speak to themselves and to God.
