Wherefore, Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered without the gate. Therefore, let us go forth to Him without the camp, bearing His reproach;

And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; and fire came down out of the heaven, and devoured them.

While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those hearing the word.

and he said to them, "Did ye receive the Holy Spirit, after having believed?" And they said to him, "Nay, we did not even hear whether there is a Holy Spirit."

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

In this ye know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ hath come in flesh is of God;

He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies. To him that overcomes, to him will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

And the disciples, having come near, said to Him, "Wherefore dost Thou speak to them in parables?" And He, answering, said to them, "Because to you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given.

And He saith to them, "But who do ye say that I am?" And Simon Peter, answering, said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus, answering, said to him, "Happy are you, Simon Bar-Jonah; because flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father Who is in Heaven.

Then He opened their mind, that they might understand the Scriptures; and He said to them, "Thus it has been written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day,
