But a natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.
For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing, foolishness; but to those who are being saved, it is the power of God.

And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the spirit with which he was speaking.
