But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ if we hold our first confidence firm to the end, while it is said, "Today, if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."read more.
Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.
God again set a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."
The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshipping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; nor did they repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality or their thefts.
