Therefore they will eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own schemes.
He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.

For who, when they heard, rebelled? No, did not all those who came out of Egypt by Moses? With whom was he displeased forty years? Was not it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? To whom did he swear that they would not enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they would not worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
